Juan Ruiz-Diaz is an experienced leader with a strong background in community service and youth development. Currently serving as an intern for State Senator Nathalia Fernandez since March 2023, Juan also holds multiple positions within Sigma Beta Rho Fraternity, Inc., including President, Programming Chair, and Vice President, demonstrating a commitment to coordinating impactful programs on topics such as mental health awareness and immigration policy. As the Fraternity and Sorority Life Associate Programming and Service Coordinator at the University at Albany, Juan develops service initiatives and fosters engagement among fraternity and sorority members in critical social issues. Additionally, Juan has worked as a Youth Development Professional at the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle, providing mentorship and guidance to youth while coordinating community service projects. Currently pursuing education at the University at Albany, Juan aims to create positive change through leadership and service.

Founded in 1929, the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle has been an integral part of the New Rochelle community offering New Rochelle’s youth safe and achievement-driven programming focused on the whole child, encompassing academics, mental wellness, fitness, leadership, and civics. Today, it serves nearly 3,000 members each year, at various school sites and two clubhouse locations, offering them a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, and hope and opportunity.
