Director Of Academic Success at BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF CENTRAL FLORIDA

Altina Fenelon-Silva has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Altina currently holds the position of Director of Academic Success at Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Duval County Public Schools as a Professional Development Supervisor from 2016 to 2022 and as a Professional Development Specialist from 2013 to 2016. Altina also served as a 1st Grade Teacher at Teach for America Jacksonville Area from 2012 to 2013 and as a 2nd-3rd Grade Reading Interventionist at Duval County Public Schools from 2011 to 2012.

Altina Fenelon-Silva holds a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Florida, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. Prior to their Master's degree, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Anthropology. Altina has also acquired additional certifications including the Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) from Duval County Public Schools in November 2018. Altina is also in the process of obtaining the FTCE Educational Leadership certification and the FTCE Professional K-6 Elementary certification.
