Jon Tucker

SVP, Operations at Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware

Jon Tucker serves as Senior Vice President of Operations after returning to Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware in July 2022. Jon’s history with the organization began nearly 40 years ago at Rose Hill Boys Club where he attended Head Start and other programs. In 1998, he worked as a summer camp counselor at the Greater Newark Club. Shortly after arriving on campus at Wesley College, Jon started working for the Clubs in Dover. During his time with BGCDE, Jon served in different capacities (Youth Development Professional, Afterschool Coordinator, Education Director, Prevention & Fitness Director). His career continued as Program Director for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, DC, and Chief Operating Officer for Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland and Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida. In 2009, he began with the SEED network, serving in various roles including Head of School for The Seed School of Maryland in Baltimore. Prior to returning to Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware, Jon also served as Vice President of Student Life at Girard College in Philadelphia and Vice President of Operations for KIPP Columbus in Ohio. In recent years, Jon served as a member of the Greater Newark Unit Board as well.

Jon earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Wesley College and an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University.

Jon works with the Vice Presidents of Operations and the Senior Executive Director of Program Development in ensuring and building on the operational effectiveness in the Clubs and School Sites, including program and staff development.

Jon lives in Magnolia with his wife, three sons, and many pets. He also continues to support SEED as a board member for The SEED School of Miami.
