Gwendolyn Woods MBA has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Gwendolyn'smost recent position is as the Vice President of Operations at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis, where they provide guidance and support to the organization's leadership team. Prior to that, Gwendolyn served as the Club Director/ Training Liaison at the Ira Samelson Jr Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis, where they facilitated training programs and ensured a safe and enriching environment for youth. Gwendolyn also worked as a Community Center Assistant Director at the City of Memphis, where they supervised staff and organized recreational programs. Gwendolyn's experience includes being a Center Director at Girls Incorporated of Memphis, where they developed and implemented programs for girls in line with the organization's mission. Additionally, they worked as a Case Manager II/CPS Investigator at the Tennessee Department of Children's Services, investigating allegations of child abuse and determining the needs of children and their families.

Gwendolyn Woods MBA began their education journey in 1994 at The University of Memphis, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Electronic Media. Gwendolyn dedicated four years to completing their undergraduate studies, graduating in 1998. After a few years in the workforce, Gwendolyn decided to further enhance their knowledge and skills by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Phoenix. Gwendolyn enrolled in 2009 and successfully completed their MBA program in 2010, specializing in Business Administration. Seeking additional expertise in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, Gwendolyn enrolled at the University of Phoenix once again in 2013. Gwendolyn obtained a Graduate Certificate in this field of study in 2014.

These programs and services are designed to build character and strengthen life skills, resulting in a healthy and safer community. Our Clubs are staffed by paid, highly trained youth development professionals. Through a system of informal guidance, Club staff form strong bonds with young people and help them make smart choices in life. For many Club members, Club staff members are the most influential positive adult role models in their lives. The Club’s programs foster a sense of belonging, and competence that builds self-confidence and self-esteem.
