Brian Sauer

Citywide Director Of Education at Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco

Brian Sauer has a diverse work experience, with a focus on education and youth development. Brian began their career as a Science Teacher with Jesuit Volunteers International from 1996 to 1998. From 1999 to 2008, they worked as a Teacher with the San Francisco Unified School District. In 2009, Brian joined Juma Ventures as a College Services Manager, where they created a program to support first-generation college students. Brian then transitioned to the role of Bay Area Program Director from 2013 to 2015. Following this, Brian worked as a Substitute Teacher with SFUSD and Five Keys Charter School for a brief period in 2015. In the same year, they took up a role as the Citywide Director of Education with the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco, where they currently work. Additionally, Brian has been involved with the Bay Area College Success Network from 2010 to 2013 as a member of the Steering Committee.

Brian Sauer attended Marquette University from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology. Brian later attended San Francisco State University from 1999 to 2003 and obtained a Credential in Education.
