Cheryl Dick has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare field. Cheryl began their career in 2002 as a PICU Staff RN at Children's Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha, where they built a strong foundation in pediatric critical care nursing and developed critical thinking skills. Cheryl then moved on to work as a Trauma and Neurosurgical ICU Staff RN at Children's Medical Center, where they received specialized training in caring for trauma patients and gained experience with patients with traumatic brain injuries.

In 2006, Cheryl joined Children's Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha as an ICU Group RN, where they cared for PICU, NICU, and ECMO patients. Cheryl also played a role in launching the neonatal ground transport program.

In 2008, Cheryl also worked as a Per Diem Nurse Educator at Hospira, where they educated hospital staff on the use of IV pumps and provided support after the implementation of a new product.

Cheryl's experience in education continued in 2013 when they became a Nurse Practitioner Student at Children's Medical Center Dallas, completing their final practicum in the Cardiac ICU.

Most recently, Cheryl worked at Boys Town National Research Hospital as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner on the Inpatient Medical Unit. Their exact dates of employment at this position are not specified.

Before their BSN, Cheryl studied Biology/Pre-Medicine and Pre-Nursing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1995 to 1998. In addition to their nursing education, they completed EMT-Intermediate Training and Certification at Creighton University in 1999 and EMT-Basic Training and Certification at Southeast Community College in 1998.
