Akash Hanooman

Akash Hanooman holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Engineering with Distinction from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus. With a wealth of experience in environmental and safety management, Akash began as an intern at Petrotrin and progressed to roles such as Environmental Engineer at Eco Engineering Consultants and HSE Consultant at 3M. Subsequent positions included Environmental Specialist at the Inter American Development Bank and Environmental Engineering Specialist at the Ministry of Public Utilities and the Environment. Currently, Akash serves at BP as Contractor Safety Management Lead and Safety and Operational Risk Investigation and Learning Lead, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence in various environments. Professional credentials include Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), and Member of the Global Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (GMIOSH).
