James Skinner

James Skinner is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data and analytics, currently serving as the Senior Principal and Head of the Data & Analytics Group ERP at bp since November 2018. James has held key positions including Vice President of dataWorx and IT Director for Big Data & Analytics, where notable achievements include developing the Global Business & IT Data Strategy, leading multiple DevOps teams, and shaping the Group's operating model for data. Prior to bp, James was a Management Consultant at Accenture for 17 years, managing large-scale projects in Big Data Customer Insights and SAP ERP Transformation within the oil and gas sector. James began a career in research as an Intern Research Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory. James holds a Master’s Degree in Physics from the University of Bath.
