Marjorie de Backer

Marjorie de Backer is currently the Procurement Contract Management Director at bp and has extensive experience in contract management across various industries. Prior to their role at bp, Marjorie served as the Contract Process and Risk Manager at Siemens Gamesa and was the Head of Contract Risk, Warranty & Claims at MISC Berhad Official. Their career includes significant positions at Bumi Armada and Subsea 7, where they managed contracts and project services. Marjorie holds a Master’s degree in Process Engineering from Centrale Méditerranée and completed a module in Oil and Gas Contract Law at Robert Gordon University.
