Sam Hemmings

Sam Hemmings is an experienced data scientist and senior reservoir engineer currently serving as the Subsurface Uncertainty Estimation Lead and Digital Product Owner at bp since September 2005. Hemmings specializes in reservoir management and global benchmarking. Previous experience includes a research associate position at the University of Bristol from September 2004 to August 2005, funded by NERC for the UK Flood Risk Management Research Consortium, focusing on model development and literature research. Internships at Shell in 2001 and 2002 involved calibrating analytical gas dispersion models using computational fluid dynamics. Sam Hemmings holds an MSc in Environmental and Industrial Modelling (Applied Mathematics) from the University of Bristol and a MEng in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London.
