Joel Ekström

Joel Ekström has a diverse and extensive work experience in the creative industry. Joel has worked at B-Reel Films as both a Director/Photographer and Art Director/Designer from October 2016 to January 2020. From January 2020 onwards, they have been a Director/Photographer at the same company. Joel also founded qute.se in January 2023. At Heko, they worked as a Director/Photographer from June 2022 onwards. Joel also has experience as a Director/Photographer at their own company, Joel Ekström, since January 2012. Joel has also worked for Valtech RADON as a Director/Photographer from June 2021 to December 2021. Additionally, Joel was a Co-Founder/Director/Photographer at Scene 94 from January 2012 to August 2017. Joel has prior experience as a Directors Assistant at new—land from April 2016 to September 2016, and as a Creative/Designer at North Kingdom Design - The North Alliance from August 2014 to January 2015. Throughout their career, Joel has collaborated with renowned clients such as Adidas, Telia, Filippa K, Toyota, Storytel, AMF, Head & Shoulders, Com Hem, Skandia, and Essity.

Joel Ekström attended Anderstorpsskolan from 2010 to 2013, where they pursued a degree in Film Production. Later, from 2015 to 2017, they enrolled in Hyper Island to specialize in Digital Media Creative.
