Shahriar Hoque

Shahriar Hoque has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leading organizations. Shahriar is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at BRAC IT, where they set and executes the organization's strategy and oversees the executive team. Before that, Shahriar worked at BRAC as a Director, where they directed the organizational Digital Transformation and ICT4D mandates. Shahriar also served as an Associate Director, leading organizational sustainability through Technology & Innovation strategy development. Shahriar was also the Head of Technology & Enterprise Resource Planning Departments at BRAC.

Prior to their work at BRAC, Shahriar worked at Shared Services Canada | Services partagés Canada as a Senior Technology Project Manager. Shahriar led the implementation and execution of EDM Projects and managed stakeholders for electronic communications. Shahriar also worked as a Technology Project Manager & Coach, leading the creation of PM Framework and participating in the implementation of Enterprise Planning System - Clarity.

Earlier in their career, Shahriar worked at Canada Revenue Agency as a Technology Team Leader and Technology Analyst. In these roles, they successfully led portfolios of projects and teams and played a key role in developing, integrating, enhancing, and maintaining various IT systems.

Shahriar's career started at Nortel Networks as a Software Engineer, where they led the design and development of software features for switches and network architecture. Shahriar also worked at BOMBARDIER as a Software Engineer, designing and implementing safety-critical ETCS Onboard system software.

Shahriar Hoque has a diverse education history. Shahriar completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management and Finance at Université de Montréal in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Concordia University from 1995 to 1998. Additionally, they pursued a degree in Science from Dawson College between 1993 and 1995. In terms of certifications, Shahriar obtained various qualifications such as PRINCE2P from AXELOS, FICB (Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers) from the Canadian Securities Institute, and other certifications in different fields including advocacy, policy influencing, and requirements development.
