Ushin Fatima

Ushin Fatima is a microbiologist with extensive experience in the field, currently serving at BRAC since September 2023 and previously at Oxfam from October 2022 to August 2023. Prior to this, Ushin worked at BRAC as a Technical Officer (Microbiologist) for the Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme (HCMP) from October 2019 to October 2022. Ushin's career began at AFC Agro Biotech Pvt Ltd as an Officer (Industrial Microbiologist) from October 2017 to December 2018 and as an Assistant Officer in the Microbiology Laboratory from May 2014 to October 2017. Education includes a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Environmental Health and Safety from Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (expected March 2024), a Master of Science (MS) in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from Mawlana Science and Technology University (2012), and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (2009). Additional academic qualifications include the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Khulna Girls' College and the Secondary School Certificate from Govt. Coronation Girls School.
