Troy Nelson

Troy Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2019, they joined Bracari as a Software Engineer. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Full Stack Software Engineer Intern at SE Healthcare, where they developed web-based applications using Ruby on Rails and Node. In 2018, they also had an internship as a Full Stack Web Developer at Code/+/Trust.

Troy's experience in Full Stack Software Engineering was further polished during their time as a student at JRS Coding School/Jack Russell Software Innovation Center in 2018. Troy gained proficiency in technologies such as React, Redux, JavaScript, NodeJS, CouchDB, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Material Design, Ramda, Git, and Github.

Previously, Troy served as a Senior IT Project Manager at Equifax Workforce Solutions from 2015 to 2016, where they managed the implementation of the Affordable Care Act Management Platform Software and delivered business intelligence reporting solutions. In 2014, they worked as a Compensation Systems Analyst at The MIL Corporation (The U.S. Department of State), facilitating software implementation and managing client software issues related to payroll processes.

Troy's early career includes roles as a Testing Analyst at Benefitfocus in 2013, a Business Financial Manager Intern at SPAWAR in 2012, and an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, they had a brief stint as a Web Developer Student at the Charleston Digital Corridor in 2016.

Troy Nelson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing/Management at Lander University. Troy then pursued further education at The Citadel (Graduate College), where they obtained a Masters of Science in Project Management/Systems Engineering from 2013 to 2015. Following this, Troy attended the Darla Moore School of Business in 2016 and 2017, where they completed a web development program called Web Basics 101-105. In 2017, Troy also obtained a Full Stack Web Development Certification from freeCodeCamp. Troy recently enrolled at Trident Technical College from 2020 to 2022 to study Computer Programming/Computer Technology in the field of Computer Science.
