Zachary Schutzman

Zachary Schutzman is a seasoned professional in the field of data science and machine learning, currently serving as a Machine Learning Associate at Bracebridge Capital, LLC since June 2023. Prior to this role, Schutzman held positions as a Michael Hammer Postdoctoral Fellow and SERC Postdoctoral Scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from September 2021 to June 2023. Academic experience includes a Graduate Research Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania from July 2016 to August 2021, as well as various teaching and research assistant roles at Colby College from August 2012 to May 2016. Schutzman’s research expertise extends to voting rights, computational tools for electoral redistricting, and land use optimization models. Schutzman earned a PhD in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, Economics, and Computer Science from Colby College.
