Yalda Aoukar

Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Bracket Capital

Yalda started her career in London at Lehman Brothers in Fixed Income, followed by Barclays and Morgan Stanley in Private Wealth Management. She later moved to Doha as Vice President to launch Investcorp’s office in Qatar. She managed several key strategic relationships for the firm and advised investors on a variety of investments in Private Equity, Hedge Funds and in Real Estate.

Yalda is a champion for women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship, especially in financial sectors, where women are traditionally under-represented. She serves as an adviser to governments and policy makers on digital development in diverse fields such as Smart City Building, Artificial Intelligence Integration, Automation and Education Technology.

She is an active member of Tomouh, an invitation only network in the Arab world for aspiring Arab leaders. She has also been a guest speaker at numerous women leadership events and women in VC events across Europe and the Middle East.

Yalda graduated with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the American University of Beirut (2006) and a Master in Public Policy (MPP) from Harvard University (2008). She lives in Doha with her husband and two-year old daughter.
