Bradford Birth To 19
Andrea Layzell is an experienced professional in the early years sector, currently serving as the National Early Years Project Lead and National Lead for the "50 Things to Do Before You’re Five" initiative at Bradford Birth To 19 since February 2020. Previous roles include Workforce Development Leader at St Edmund's NS & CC in Bradford and Project Lead for the same initiative at The Bradford Birth-19 Teaching School Alliance. Andrea's background encompasses significant contributions to workforce development at Pen Green Research Development and Leadership Centre, where engagement in CPD programs and project work for local authorities occurred. Early career experiences also include positions at Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Bradford Council, the National Childminding Association, and Kirklees Early Years Service. Andrea holds an MA in Integrated Provision for Children and Families from the University of Leicester.
Bradford Birth To 19
Bradford Birth to 19 was established in 2013 at St Edmund’s Nursery School. We’re on a mission to utilise the latest research and practical experience to make social mobility a reality, both in Bradford and nationwide. We work in partnership with Bradford’s best schools, most inspirational teachers, the health sector, the school and university led research community, and local authorities, to discover and deliver innovative solutions to problems facing children and young people.
