Christopher Dunlavey, FAIA, LEEDap has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the architecture and sports industries. Since 1993, they have been the President of Brailsford & Dunlavey, Inc., where they have directed the planning, design, and construction of large-scale projects such as public school district modernizations, higher education facilities, and major league sports venues. In 2018, Dunlavey became the Chairman of Old Glory DC Rugby, the first professional rugby team in the greater Washington, D.C. area. Christopher also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Managers for Major League Rugby, which is the premier rugby union competition in North America. Additionally, Dunlavey is the owner of CENTERS, LLC, a company dedicated to the management of collegiate recreation sports facilities and other campus centers. Through these roles, Dunlavey has demonstrated expertise in architecture, real estate development, and entrepreneurship.
Christopher Dunlavey, FAIA, LEEDap, received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture and American History from Columbia University, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Later, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Real Estate Finance at The George Washington University School of Business, completing their studies between 1990 and 1994. In terms of additional certifications, Dunlavey obtained the LEEDap certification from the US Green Building Council in 2008. Christopher also became a Registered Architect in 1995 through the Washington, D.C. Office of Professional & Occupational Licenses.
