Alexander Pelzer

Alexander Pelzer has a diverse work experience in the field of research and development. Alexander started as a Research Associate at Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf in 2010. Alexander then worked as an Intern at AB Enzymes in 2012. In 2014, they joined Forschungszentrum Jülich as a PHD Student and later became a Postdoc. In 2014, they also started working at BRAIN Biotech AG as a Project Manager, leading various internal and external collaboration projects. Alexander subsequently held roles as the Techplatform Head Tailor-made Biocatalysts and Unit Head Enzymes & Biocatalysts at BRAIN Biotech AG. Currently, they hold the position of VP, Head of Research and Development at the same company. Overall, their work experience includes enzyme discovery and production, optimization of expression hosts, enzyme characterization, and protein engineering.

Alexander Pelzer attended the University of Düsseldorf from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Diplom degree in the field of Biology.
