Devarshi Mukherji has had a range of work experience in the medical field. Devarshi began as a Neuro-Oncology Research Assistant at the University of Michigan Medical School in 2021, where they focused on investigating mechanisms of resistance in high grade gliomas. Devarshi then became the Director of Research for the Michigan Global Surgery Student Alliance, where they built a research foundation for the organization and worked on writing a review article. In 2022, Devarshi became the President of the Brain Exercise Initiative U of M Chapter, growing the organization's presence at the University of Michigan and working with elderly residents affected by dementia. Devarshi also worked as a Medical Assistant at ANN ARBOR URGENT CARE, P.C, performing various medical tasks and assisting in patient treatment. Finally, they had a 1-month clinical rotation as a Ramnath Fellow in Michigan Medicine's Neurosurgery Department, gaining exposure to the field of neurosurgery and observing various surgeries.
Devarshi Mukherji obtained a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan in the years 2021 to 2025. Before that, they earned a High School Diploma from Notre Dame Preparatory School between 2017 and 2021. In addition, Devarshi took part in a dual enrollment program at Oakland University from 2018 to 2020. They have also obtained various certifications in subjects such as Medical Neuroscience, Data Science, and R Programming from institutions like Coursera and the HEAL Clinical Education Network.
