François Brillon

François Brillon has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. François is currently employed as the Senior Director, Architecture AI at BrainBox AI since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at francoisbrillon.com as a Senior Advisor, where they focused on Agile, IoT, Big Data, Hadoop, AWS, Linux, Cloud, and Architecture. Notably, they collaborated with A La Carte Media Inc. to enhance their IoT architecture using AWS Cloud Formation, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch.

François also served at VOTI Detection, initially as the Senior Technical Product Manager, Analytics & Applications from 2018 to 2019, and later as the Director of Software Engineering from 2019 to 2022.

Before their time at VOTI Detection, François worked at Larochelle Groupe Conseil as a Senior Advisor, Solutions Architect, and Hadoop SME. François'sresponsibilities involved researching Big Data market opportunities, designing genetic model architectures, developing Big Data strategies, and conducting proof-of-concept projects on Azure.

François has had a long tenure at TouchTunes, where they held various positions. François was the Director of Data Science and Big Data Analytics from 2016 to 2017, Director of Software Development - Full Stack from 2014 to 2016, and Technical Expert Witness from 2007 to 2014. During their employment, they demonstrated their skills in gathering and summarizing documentation, reviewing counter-party documentation, and providing testimonies. François also served as the Director of Advertising Operations, where they built the department, oversaw advertising campaigns, and improved team efficiency through Agile methodologies and tools like Cognos BI and Oracle database. Additionally, they successfully facilitated the transition of the AdOps group to TouchTunes' New York Office. In previous roles at TouchTunes, François worked as a Lead Software Engineer, Software Developer - Backend, and held other software development positions.

Early in their career, François Brillon was a Software Developer, focusing on Embedded Systems, at CAE from 1996 to 1998.

François Brillon completed their Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Université de Sherbrooke from 1991 to 1995. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications from various institutions. These include certifications in Big Data Integration and Processing, Big Data Modeling and Management Systems, HDP Overview: Apache Hadoop Essentials, Reproducible Research, Exploratory Data Analysis, Getting and Cleaning Data, Introduction to Big Data, R Programming, The Data Scientist's Toolbox, and Creativity, Innovation, and Change. François obtained these certifications from Coursera and Hortonworks between 2013 and 2018.
