Geoff Gomm, P.Eng

Geoff Gomm, P.Eng has a strong background in energy engineering and AI controls. Geoff most recently worked as an AI Controls Engineer at BrainBox AI starting in September 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Energy Engineer at MCW Group of Companies from September 2018 to September 2021. In this role, they conducted energy audits, created building energy models, and prepared technical reports and recommendations for energy strategies. Before that, Geoff worked as a Senior Controls Engineer at Flō Energy Solutions Inc. from June 2014 to September 2018. In this role, they led teams in developing control strategies, deployed control algorithms for HVAC units, and performed data analysis for energy modeling.

Geoff Gomm, P.Eng has a diverse education history. Geoff obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, where they attended from 2009 to 2013. In 2016, they earned a Certificate of Energy Management from the University of Toronto, specializing in Energy Management. In 2018, Geoff pursued further education, completing a Graduate Certificate in Big Data Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics at Ryerson University, finishing in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Geoff Gomm has also obtained various certifications. Geoff is a Professional Engineer (PE) registered with Professional Engineers Ontario, which they achieved in August 2021. Geoff is also eligible for the Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification, offered by (CAP®) Certified Analytics Professional, and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification from the Canadian Institute for Energy Training (CIET). However, the specific dates for the CAP and CEM certifications are unknown.
