Daniel Hoffman

Daniel Hoffman has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Daniel is currently employed at Brain Corp as the Senior Director of Software Engineering, a role they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Software Engineering at the same company from March 2022 to March 2023, and as the Manager of Platform Engineering from October 2019 to March 2022.

Before joining Brain Corp, Daniel worked at Teradata for several years. Daniel held various positions including Software Engineering Director of Database Foundation from February 2018 to October 2019 and Software Engineering Manager of System Management and Utilities from September 2014 to February 2018. In these roles, they demonstrated strong leadership skills, driving team growth and implementing agile methodologies.

Daniel also has experience as a Software Engineer at Teradata, where they worked on the Teradata Virtual Storage project from December 2005 to August 2011. Additionally, they served as a Software Engineering Intern at Teradata from June 2004 to November 2005.

Outside of their software engineering roles, Daniel worked as a Freelance Photographer, covering various events such as weddings and families, from January 2009 to December 2011.

Earlier in their career, Daniel gained experience as a Web Programmer at NASA ISS EarthKAM from December 2001 to June 2005, and as an ECE/CSE Tutor/TA at UC San Diego from April 2003 to June 2004. Daniel also worked as an Engineering Intern at IDEC Pharmaceuticals from June 2001 to September 2001, and as an Intern Analyst at San Diego Data Processing Center from June 1998 to September 1998.

Daniel Hoffman attended James Madison High School from 1997 to 2001. Daniel then pursued their higher education at UC San Diego from 2001 to 2006, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Software Systems.
