Eugene Izhikevich

Eugene Izhikevich is the Co-Founder and CEO of Brain Corp, a San Diego-based technology company that develops intelligent, autonomous navigation systems for everyday machines, a position held since September 2009. In addition, Izhikevich founded Scholarpedia, an online wiki-based encyclopedia aimed at providing high-quality academic content, in February 2006. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Fellow in Theoretical Neurobiology at The Neurosciences Institute from April 2000 to August 2009, focusing on research that integrates theoretical and practical approaches to brain studies. Additionally, Izhikevich held roles as a Visiting Professor and Postdoctoral Researcher at Arizona State University between 1996 and 2000. Izhikevich earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Michigan State University and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
