Hojoon Shin

Hojoon Shin is an experienced autonomy engineer currently working at Brain Corp, where responsibilities include the overhaul of path generation algorithms for robot fleets, leading to significant reductions in traversal time and collision risks. Prior to this role, Hojoon gained valuable experience as a Master's candidate at the Existential Robotics Laboratory, focusing on neural surface mapping, and as an intern at the Laboratory for Autonomous Robotics Research, contributing to UAV path planning and SLAM system simulations. Additional experience as a freelance translator at Compecs included translating complex academic papers and transcribing legal depositions. Hojoon holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University.
