Jonathon Sather

Jonathon Sather is a Senior Autonomy Engineer at Brain Corp since August 2019, with a focus on simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), including lifelong mapping, 3D mapping, sensor fusion, and unsupervised learning of robot dynamics. Prior experiences include a Software Engineer Intern role at Microsoft and Embedded Software Engineer Intern at Omron Delta Tau, where Jonathon diagnosed firmware issues and automated testing processes. Jonathon also held Mechanical Engineer Intern positions at Tesla, contributing to the design of coolant systems and mechatronics for inverter modules, and at Teradyne, where Jonathon improved testing fixtures and developed a chemical compatibility database. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
