Staff Systems Engineer

Sebastian Hening is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and autonomous systems. They began their career as a researcher at NASA Ames Research Center, where they upgraded military UAVs and contributed to the development of autonomous rovers. As a Systems Engineer II, Sebastian developed advanced LIDAR and GPS sensor fusion algorithms for enhanced navigation capabilities. They later excelled as a Systems Test and Qualification Engineer IV at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, participating in the design and testing of autopilot systems for the MQ-1C Gray Eagle. Currently, Sebastian holds the position of Staff Systems Engineer at Brain Corp. They earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University and a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
