Johannes Röhrenbach is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in innovation, product management, and mentorship in the startup ecosystem. Currently serving as a Startup Mentor at Brainforest and RUNWAY Startup Incubator since 2025 and September 2023 respectively, Johannes also holds the position of Chief Innovation & Product Officer at Unico Data AG, responsible for innovation and customer project delivery. Previously, Johannes co-founded and led Mavuno Technologies, achieving significant milestones in Agri & FinTech for African farmers, and was the Group Head of Innovation at CREALOGIX Group, where a robust innovation department was established. Additionally, Johannes has contributed to various mentorship roles across multiple platforms, focusing on pitch decks, fundraising, and design thinking in the startup space. Educationally, Johannes holds a German Diploma in Mathematics from Heidelberg University.

Brainforest is a for-impact venture studio for forests & climate. Enabled by the Migros Pioneer Fund, part of the social commitment of the Migros Group, and cofounded by the WWF Switzerland, we are striving for game-changing solutions to unlock the full climate potential of forests at speed, scale, and quality through entrepreneurial approaches. We start with three focus areas: 1. Measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) of forest carbon enabled by high-resolution remote sensing and machine learning. 2. Connectivity of supply and demand of forest carbon in a trustable way. 3. Innovative financing mechanisms to unlock all forests value.
