Sebastien Ourselin FREng is the Director of the Wellcome/EPSRC Centre for Medical Engineering and Head of the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences at King's College London, contributing significantly to medical imaging research and the clinical application of advanced technologies. As Deputy Director of the London Medical Imaging & Artificial Intelligence Centre for Value-Based Healthcare, Sebastien is involved in developing AI solutions in partnership with various NHS Trusts. Additionally, Sebastien is a co-founder and non-executive director at Hypervision Surgical, focusing on enhancing surgical precision through AI, as well as co-founding BRAINMINER LIMITED and serving as Chief Scientific Officer. Previously, Sebastien held multiple leadership positions at UCL, including founding the Wellcome/EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences and the UCL Institute of Healthcare Engineering, and has a robust research background that began with a PhD in Computer Science from Université Côte d'Azur.

Brainminer Ltd has developed an automated system for analysing MR brain scans.Brainminer was founded in 2015 by the Academic inventors and UCLB, the business arm of University College London, with the purpose of commercialising the exciting new machine learning algorithms that have been created for brain analysis at UCL and elsewhere.
