Masahisa Taura started their work experience in 2013 as a System Engineer at NEC Soft. masahisa then worked as an IT Engineer at an education-related company from 2014 to 2018. In 2018, they joined a company called Design Shift as a Senior Lead Data Scientist. Currently, in 2023, they are the CEO of Design Shift.

Masahisa Taura earned a Master's degree in Physics from Tokyo Metropolitan University, where they studied from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Tokyo University of Science, completing their undergraduate studies from 2007 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Masahisa Taura has obtained various certifications. masahisa received the "Japan Statistical Society Certificate - Level 1" from the General Corporation for Statistics Assurance Promotion in July 2021. In June 2021, they obtained the "Information Processing Administrator - Qualified", a certification provided by the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan, focusing on information processing security. Furthermore, in December 2019, they obtained the "Information Technology Strategist Examination" issued by the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan.

Masahisa Taura has also acquired several certifications in the field of information technology. masahisa acquired the "JDLA Deep Learning for GENERAL 2019#1" certification, issued by the Japanese Deep Learning Association, in January 2019. Additionally, they received the "Japan Statistical Society Certificate - Level 2" from the General Corporation for Statistics Assurance Promotion in December 2018. In December 2013, they attained the "Applied Information Technology Engineer Examination" and the "Fundamental Information Technology Engineer Examination", both issued by the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan. Finally, they obtained the "Information Technology Passport Examination" in October 2011, also from the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan.
