Brian Zhang is an accomplished individual recognized as the inaugural 2024 Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholar of the Year at APIA Scholars. Currently, Brian works as a part-time Science Script Writer at BrainPOP, contributing to the production of educational content. Brian's experience includes serving as a New York Times Scholar, receiving a significant scholarship for writing and journalism, and analyzing student culture as a Freelance Essayist for Business Insider. In leadership roles at Yale College Council, Brian directs events and represents the student body as Class President, while also serving as a Student Ambassador at the Yale Schwarzman Center. Previous internships include roles in communications and crisis management with organizations like the Ford Foundation and United to Beat Malaria. Educational achievements include a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Yale University and ongoing medical studies at Stanford University School of Medicine.
