David Barry

David Barry has extensive work experience in software quality assurance and engineering. David started their career at Apple as a Software Test Engineer, where they installed, tested, and debugged commercial software applications on various operating systems. David also gained experience in network testing and hardware installation and configuration.

David then moved on to COREL CORPORATION LTD as a QA Engineer and Product Specialist. Here, they were responsible for conducting detailed functional, user interface, and scenario testing of the Corel WordPerfect Office suite. David also developed and delivered training courses and worked closely with the QA and Engineering Team Leads to ensure timely product releases with high-quality standards.

David further worked at IBM as a Quality Assurance Engineer, where they created, maintained, and executed detailed functional and user interface test scripts for various software features. David managed vendor test teams and resolved technical testing issues while ensuring the timely delivery of product updates. David also collaborated with different teams to investigate and resolve software issues reported by European and Asian customers.

After IBM, they joined ITA Software as a QA Software Engineer, focusing on air travel tax testing. David was responsible for code review and manual verification of tax logic implementation worldwide. David also created and distributed test and bug summary reports for tax changes to the QPX system.

At IBM, they served as a Rational Software Engineer, providing services in-house deployment and managing software configuration. David also worked as a ClearQuest and Focal Point administrator.

David then joined J2 Global as a Senior QA Analyst, where they were the sole QA resource for the CampaignerCRM email marketing/Customer management platform. David conducted regression testing, bug identification and resolution, and worked closely with the development team to ensure quick bug resolutions.

Currently, David is working at Brainshark as a Software QA Engineer.
