Kwame Asiedu

Kwame Asiedu has a diverse work experience in various industries. Kwame currently holds the position of Co-CEO at Braintoy since April 2019. Prior to this, they worked at ATB Financial, where they served as the Director of Artificial Intelligence Lab - Artificial Intelligence Guild from January 2019 to April 2019. Kwame also held the position of Director of Data Science Lab - Enterprise Data Science from July 2017 to January 2019 at the same company.

Before joining ATB Financial, Kwame worked at ENMAX as the Principal Enterprise Data Architect - BIG Data and Advanced Analytics from January 2017 to July 2017. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at Shaw Communications, including Data Scientist - Big Data and Advanced Analytics from September 2016 to January 2017, Research Scientist - Enterprise Technology and Strategy from September 2013 to August 2016, Research Scientist - Innovation and Tools (IT/Engineering) from September 2012 to September 2013, and Data Specialist - IT Business Analytics from November 2011 to September 2012.

Kwame's earlier work experience includes a role as a Researcher at the University of Calgary, specifically in the Land Tenure and Cadastral Systems Research Group, where they worked on applying data mining and social network analysis techniques to land tenure data. Kwame also designed and developed the Web and Mobile Land Tenure Information System.

Kwame started their career at Vodafone as a Technical Support for ADSL from August 2008 to August 2010. Kwame also worked at AngloGold Ashanti as an Assistant Information Officer during their national service from November 2007 to August 2008, where they built the IT capacity for the malaria control programme and managed the Malaria Information System.

Kwame Asiedu holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science and Psychology from the University of Ghana. Kwame also has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary.

In terms of additional certifications, Kwame has obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in February 2016. Kwame also has a Diploma as a Computer Hardware Service Technician from System Technologies. Furthermore, Kwame has completed the MIT - AITI Certificate of Completing Java, Web Services, and Entrepreneurship from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Kwame is also a Microsoft Certified Professional and has training in SAS Studio for SAS Programmers (3.6) from SAS.
