Brainwave, Inc.

When we started our business, our first job was to name the company itself. Well, advertising and marketing agencies need great thinkers, writers, strategists and art directors in order to truly serve their clients. And agencies tend to have the names of all those people right there on the door. So as we have a good sense of humor, we actually considered calling ourselves Einstein, Shakespeare, Plato and Van Gogh for about five minutes. (That sounded like the name the name of a very talented agency to us, and it would be funny to hear the receptionist saying it to everyone who called.) But then , as we always do, we took the essence of that idea and isolated what it was about having all of those geniuses working at an agency that applied to us. And it was simply this-they would all have brilliant ideas. That was essentially what we wanted to offer our clients-Brilliant advertising and marketing ideas-brainwaves. So in 1999 we opened our doors for business and called ourselves Brainwave. We don't have Einstein, Plato, Shakespeare or Van Gogh working for us and we wont pretend that we live up to their names-but we always endeavor to live up to ours.
