Vanessa Baker

Vanessa Baker is an experienced professional in category management and buying, currently serving as the Senior Category Manager for Bakery, Desserts, and Ice Cream at Brakes UK since April 2018. Prior to this, Vanessa held the position of Category Controller for Chilled and Frozen at Palmer and Harvey, where management of a £300 million turnover category and a team of four buyers was a key responsibility. Vanessa's previous roles include Senior Buyer for Household and Ambient Own Label at The Buyco, as well as Acting Buying Controller and Category Marketing Manager at Palmer and Harvey, where strategic development and supplier management were crucial to driving sales and profitability. Vanessa holds a Bachelor's degree in Textile Design from the University of Staffordshire.
