Mehmet Caner Köroğlu

Mehmet Caner Köroğlu has a diverse range of work experience in the field of cyber security. In 2018, they co-founded BRANDEFENSE and served as the Chief Technology Officer. Prior to that, they were the Founder and Team Lead of Octosec from 2013 to 2018. Between 2016 and 2017, they held the position of Senior Security Consultant at Innovera / Symturk Ltd.

Mehmet Caner also worked at PRODAFT as a Team Lead for Penetration Testing Services from 2015 to 2016 and at Symturk Ltd. as an Information Security Consultant from 2014 to 2015. Additionally, they served as a Penetration Tester for DragonLabs at Comodo from 2013 to 2014.

In 2014, they were an Organizer for the Hacktrick Cyber Security Conference.

Mehmet Caner Köroğlu attended Samsun Anadolu Lisesi from 2006 to 2010. Mehmet Caner then pursued their higher education at Ankara University from 2012 to 2018, majoring in Computer Engineering. Throughout their academic journey, Mehmet also obtained several certifications. In 2012, they became a Microsoft Certified IT Professional and a Microsoft Certified Solution Associate. Additionally, Mehmet obtained the certifications of Microsoft Certified Professional and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in June 2012. In 2014, they became a Certified Ethical Hacker through EC-Council. Mehmet also received the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification in October 2014 and the Microsoft Specialist certification from Microsoft in January 2015.
