Ian Rifkin

Ian Rifkin is an accomplished data and systems integration expert with over two decades of experience in higher education, currently serving as the Director of Data and Systems Integration at Brandeis University since September 2000. With a robust background in data governance, IT strategy alignment, and instructional roles, Ian has effectively co-chaired data initiatives and taught graduate courses in software engineering and web development. Previous positions include Data Warehouse Architect, Software Systems Manager, and Web Developer, among others, highlighting Ian's expertise in managing technical teams, overseeing enterprise analytics projects, and enhancing system interoperability. Ian holds an M.S. in Information Technology Management and a B.A. in Anthropology and Internet Studies from Brandeis University. Additionally, Ian has taught undergraduate courses at Boston College and worked as a photographer, demonstrating a diverse skill set and commitment to education and technology.
