Neil Swidey

Neil Swidey is an experienced journalist and educator, currently serving as the Director of the Journalism Program and Professor of the Practice at Brandeis University since July 2020. Simultaneously, Neil holds the position of Editor At Large for Boston Globe Magazine since September 2020. With a career that includes being an Author and Speaker for Penguin Random House since February 2014, Neil also notably worked at Boston Globe Media from November 1999 to August 2020 as New England Editor, Sunday Metro Editor, and Magazine Staff Writer. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Managing Editor at Times Herald-Record from 1997 to 1999. Neil Swidey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Tufts University.
