Thisaru Basnayake

Thisaru Basnayake is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in management accounting and financial operations. Currently serving as Assistant Manager - Management Accounting at Brandix since May 2021, Thisaru plays a significant role in the transition towards a customer-centric organizational model, while also overseeing the preparation of comprehensive budgets for the Key account group. Previously, roles included Assistant Manager - Operational Finance, where management of factory accountants and oversight of the SBU Finance function were key responsibilities. Other positions at Brandix and American Premium Water focused on financial reporting, budget preparation, and expense management. Thisaru's early career included audit roles at Dayananda Samarawickrema & Company, where auditing and bookkeeping skills were developed. Thisaru holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Colombo and has also completed AAT Sri Lanka qualifications.
