Vahag Karayan

Vahag Karayan has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Vahag is currently the Co-founder and CEO of BrandLens Inc. since January 2021. Additionally, they serve as an Advisor for doodco, DataPoint Armenia, and CogniCoder, starting from 2022, 2021, and 2021 respectively.

Prior to their current roles, Vahag held significant positions in different companies. Vahag was the Head of Professional Services at Entertainment Partners from September 2017 to January 2020, and earlier served as the Director of Program Management Office (PMO) from May 2015 to September 2019.

Vahag also has experience as the Founder and CEO of JAVI Sports, a company that introduced car mirror covers into the market. Vahag led various aspects of the business, including branding, business development, social media strategy, and product licensing for major sports leagues. This role lasted from April 2010 to October 2015.

Furthermore, Vahag worked as a Business Strategy Consultant and Investor for NovaSignal in 2015, and as the Head of Project Portfolio (DBS) at Boston Scientific from May 2011 to May 2015. Vahag also gained strategic management research experience at UCLA Anderson School of Management for a Hyundai-Kia consulting project from December 2012 to June 2013.

Vahag's earlier experience includes their role as a Program Manager at St. Jude Medical from November 2005 to May 2011, where they led critical programs in Cardiac Rhythm Management and coordinated teams in remote patient care and medical device domains.

Vahag Karayan has a strong educational background with a diverse range of degrees and certifications. Vahag obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from UCLA Anderson School of Management between 2011 and 2013. Prior to this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science (Embedded Systems) at UCLA from 1999 to 2002. Before that, they completed their undergraduate studies at UCLA, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering with Computer Science from 1994 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Vahag Karayan also participated in various specialized programs. In 2013, they attended the Doing Business in China program at Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, where they focused on the Chinese economy and the Chinese way of doing business. In 2012, they pursued international economics and finance studies at both ESSEC Business School and the University of Mannheim.

Aside from their academic achievements, Vahag Karayan has also obtained several certifications. Vahag became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner through Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2019. In September 2020, they completed the "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" course offered by Coursera. In January 2020, they also completed the "Artificial Intelligence, Neural Networks and Deep Learning" course on the same platform. Furthermore, they obtained the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) Agilist (SA) certification from the Scaled Agile Academy in May 2016, and became a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) through the Scrum Alliance in November 2014.
