Darren Kelly

Darren is the Associate Dean (Innovation and Enterprise, MDHS) at The University of Melbourne, and Director of Biomedical Research in the Department of Medicine, St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, where his research expertise lies in progressing pre-clinical novel interventions and developing experimental models of cardiovascular disease.

Darren is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Certa Therapeutics and Founder and Executive Chair of OccuRx. Previously, he was Founder, Chief Executive Officer and director of Fibrotech Therapeutics (acquired by Shire in 2014).

Darren has a Bachelor of Medical Life Science from RMIT University and a Masters of Science and PhD in Translational Medicine from The University of Melbourne.
