Mathew Gustafson has a strong background in education and leadership. Mathew currently serves as the Superintendent/CEO at the Brandon School Division, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to that, they held the role of A/Superintendent/CEO at the same division.

Before their roles at the Brandon School Division, Gustafson worked as a Principal at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School from September 2013 to June 2015. Following that, they completed a Bachelor of Education A.D. degree in 1995, also at Brandon University. Lastly, Mathew completed their education with a Masters of Education degree in Educational Administration from Brandon University in 2006.
