Mathew Gustafson

Mathew Gustafson has a strong background in education and leadership. Mathew currently serves as the Superintendent/CEO at the Brandon School Division, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to that, they held the role of A/Superintendent/CEO at the same division.

Before their roles at the Brandon School Division, Gustafson worked as a Principal at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School from September 2013 to June 2015. Mathew also served as a Principal at Vincent Massey High School from September 2009 to June 2013, and as a Principal at Betty Gibson School from September 2006 to June 2009.

Earlier in their career, Gustafson was a Vice Principal at Vincent Massey High School from September 2002 to June 2006. Mathew began their career in education as a Teacher at Killarney Collegiate Institute from September 1995 to June 2002.

Mathew Gustafson obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Chemistry in 1993 from Brandon University. Following that, they completed a Bachelor of Education A.D. degree in 1995, also at Brandon University. Lastly, Mathew completed their education with a Masters of Education degree in Educational Administration from Brandon University in 2006.
