Ed Melo, PE, QSD has a diverse work experience in the field of civil engineering. Ed started their career at UCLA as a CLICC Laptop Specialist, where they performed hardware and software repair on laptops rented to students. Ed then worked as a Staff Engineer at Delta Consultants, specializing in environmental remediation technologies. Ed later joined VCA Engineers, Inc. as a Project Engineer, and contributed to various engineering projects. Currently, they are employed at Brandow & Johnston, where they have held multiple roles including Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Associate Principal, and Director of Civil Engineering. As a Project Manager, Ed was responsible for overseeing multiple civil engineering projects, managing a team of engineers, and handling client proposals and negotiations.

Ed Melo, PE, QSD attended UCLA from 2003 to 2007 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In terms of additional certifications, Ed Melo is a certified Civil Engineer by the State of Nevada, obtained in October 2019. Ed is also a licensed Civil Engineering PE in the State of Arizona, obtained in March 2018, and a Qualified SWPPP Developer / Practitioner (QSD/QSP) certified by the California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA), obtained in May 2017. In addition, Ed Melo holds a Civil Engineering PE license from the State of California, obtained in December 2012.
