Shawn Reisner

Shawn Reisner has a diverse range of work experience starting as a Teacher's Assistant at Iowa State University from December 2009 to January 2011. Shawn then worked as a Software Engineer at Digi International from January 2011 to August 2013, where they implemented a firmware update tool for embedded devices and collaborated with a team on Python code samples. From 2014 to 2016, Shawn worked as a Developer at Sonoma Partners, demonstrating technical expertise in Dynamics CRM and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Shawn then joined DuPont Pioneer as a Full Stack Web Developer from April 2016 to October 2018, where they built the Connex web application and developed a Chrome extension named Feature Buddy. In 2018, they also became a Contributing Author at ITNEXT, sharing their knowledge through blog articles. From February 2020 to October 2022, Shawn served as a Technical Lead at Reel, a venture-backed savings app, where they helped automate savings and track progress towards financial goals. Currently, Shawn is working as a Lead Engineer at BrandYourself, starting from January 2023.

Shawn Reisner received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Iowa State University. Shawn attended the university from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained certifications as a Triplebyte certified Front End Engineer from Triplebyte in October 2018, and as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2021.
