John Fisher

President And Founder at Brandywine Photonics

John Fisher has over 30 years of experience in the optics industry. John started their career in 1987 as an Optical Engineer and Engineer at IBM. In 1993, they moved to the Naval Research Labs where they worked as an Optical Engineer, operating sensors at field trials and performing infrared focal plane characterization, designing and operating the PHILLS sensor optics, and serving as an optical system engineering for the NEMO Coastal Ocean Imaging Spectrometer spacecraft payload. In 1999, they became the President and Founder of Brandywine Optics, where they managed a team of contractors, opto-mechanical engineers, and technicians in building state-of-the-art hyperspectral sensors for remote sensing and airborne surveillance. In 2010, they founded Brandywine Photonics and has served as its President and Founder since then.

John Fisher attended Penn State University from 1982 to 1988, where they achieved a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1990, they attended The University of Alabama in Huntsville for a field of study in Optics/Optical Sciences.
