Alec Dobson

Alec Dobson has over 25 years of work experience in the chemical industry. Alec started their career at Monsanto in 1996 as a Chemical Engineer I and worked there for a year. Alec then joined Solutia Inc. in 1997 as a Process Design Engineer, and later transitioned to the role of Acrylonitrile Production Supervisor in 2000. After 12 years at Solutia, Alec moved to Ascend Performance Materials in 2008, where they served as a Business Unit Leader for Linear Alkyl Benzene, DiPhenyl Oxide, and Formaldehyde. In 2012, Alec joined Braskem America as a Site Leader, and currently, they hold the position of US Process Engineering and Process Safety Director.

Alec Dobson obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University from 1993 to 1995. Following this, they pursued further education at Auburn University and attained a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from 1995 to 1998.
