Brandon Galan, PhD, is a Research Scientist at Braskem America since May 2019, with prior experience as an R&D Chemist at W.R. Grace from March 2014 to April 2019, and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory from March 2010 to March 2014. Brandon's expertise includes process design for organometallic polymerization catalysts, synthesis and characterization of various catalysts, and conducting mechanistic and kinetic studies using advanced analytical techniques. Academic contributions include a postdoctoral role and lecturing at Colorado State University, with a focus on synthetic organic methodology and transition metal catalysis. Brandon holds a PhD in Chemistry (Organometallic/Inorganic) from the University at Buffalo, an MS in Pharmaceutical Bioengineering from the University of Washington, and a BS in Chemistry from Pennsylvania State University-Erie Campus.
