David S. Levy

David S. Levy is the founder of Volition LLC which helps mission-driven organizations to make strategic choices with the commitment necessary for action. He also currently serves as a Senior Advisor to New Profit helping support their growth strategy and mentoring social entrepreneurs. David brings more than 30 years of experience across the private, nonprofit and public sectors to his work. His private sector consulting experience, spanning 17 years, includes partner-level positions at the Monitor Group and Booz & Company.Prior to consulting, he was an R&D executive with Herman Miller, Inc. where he co-authored the design criteria for the Aeron™ Chair.

In the nonprofit sector, David has consulted with leading organizations such as MLT (Management Leaders for Tomorrow), New Profit, Project Evident and Teach for America. He currently serves on the boards of Acelero Learning, Braven, Enlearn and LEAP Innovations.

David graduated with distinction from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Architecture, received his M.S. from Cornell and Doctor of Architecture from The University of Michigan, where he also was an Assistant Professor of Architecture.
