Managing Directer, Higher Education Partnerships at Braven

Sonya Forg is the Chief of Staff, External Affairs at Braven. Sonya has dedicated their career to fighting for educational equity and improving outcomes for students.

Forg began their career as a teacher in the Teach For America program. Sonya quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the Director of External Partnerships. In this role, they were responsible for strengthening relationships with key stakeholders in the education community, and increasing the diversity of the Teach For America corps.

Forg has been instrumental in Braven's efforts to ensure that all students have access to quality education and opportunities to succeed. Sonya has developed strong partnerships with schools and districts, and helped to secure funding for Braven's programs. Forg is committed to making sure that all students have the chance to reach their full potential.

Sonya Forg has a Masters in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and a BFA in Electronic Media, Business from the University of Cincinnati. Sonya also has certifications from LinkedIn in Writing to be Heard on LinkedIn and from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in K-12 Spanish Teaching Certification.

They are on a team with Lauren Kee - Manager of Instructional Design, Sheila Lopez - General Counsel, and Traci Panizzi - Director of Finance. Sonya Forg reports to Aimée Eubanks Davis, Founder & CEO.
