Al Smith is an experienced leader with a diverse background in both military service and various leadership roles in the private sector and non-profit organizations. Currently serving as Co-Chair of the Braver Angels CT Alliance since August 2019 and as a Board Member for the Western CT Military Officers Association since August 2012, Al Smith focuses on veteran support and initiatives, especially aiding veterans in their transition to civilian life. Smith's involvement with No Labels as a Citizen Leader emphasizes a commitment to bipartisan collaboration to address national challenges. Previous professional roles include significant positions at Lee Hecht Harrison as VP of Client Relations, CEL Communications as VP and General Manager, Avon as Director, and Shell Oil as Dealer Representative, along with military service as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army. Smith holds a BA in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
